Vitamin pads: Take a leaf from a large aloe vera mother plant and cut off the spiky edge on both sides. Then cut the leaf into pieces about four centimeters wide. Divide each sheet gently horizontally so that the number of pads doubles. Scrape out the aloe vera gel with a knife and save for further use. The moist inside of the aloe vera leaves can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and used, for example, to treat sunburn, acne, wounds, scars, mosquito bites or dry skin or as a cooling refreshment in between.
